Can Kobe Bryant Now Win The NBA MVP ? He has just scored 65 and 50 in the last 2 games.?

Kobe Bryant is set to play at his highest level and make a strong run into the playoffs. He has scored 65 and 50 points in the past two games and is on a 2 game win streak. Is it possible he can steal the NBA MVP from either Steve Nash or Dirk Nowitski, if he continues his stellar play throughout the end of the season.

He can make a run for the MVP if the Lakers start winning and he continues his excellent play.

Kobe's a ******! No way he'll win it!
I know the answer I don't think....

I like kobe...but steve nash or tracy mcgrady are more likely to win an mvp for this years award....

Why?

T-mac has good record this year, is the main reason why rockets are winning games...sets up his players, sets up yao, sets the tempo, and then last 2 quaters 35% of time sits back and relaxes his back and watches his team win but before he sits he already has around 20-25 points, he doesn't have ego, doesn't care about numbers, or his ranks..., and just wants a championship....and he shares similar characteristics with steve nash....and lebron...those are my top three choices...

Also Kobe scored 65, and 50 the next...Well done my boy...You should of started doing that in the early middle of the season and you should have changed your number 8 to 24 when you actually had players on ur team that can actually put the ball in the basket...you changed because you were going to change you were tired of people callin you selffish and all that you did cuz u wanted to change your game...but you did it too early cuz all you did in the beginning of the season and the games before just pass way too much but those guys didn't knock their shots down...until you get a veteran squad on your team except for odom...keep on shooting but it is too late for you to win mvp because the records also matter...also because you starting to this type of games late of the season...in the next games If i was phil jackson my offense would be you and just you...you don't need a point gaurd to hook you up...you create your own shot every single time so there is no point you don't need one...You should of play your game still keep #24 but I wanna see the Kobe I kno The Kobe I've seen two nights ago and today..who scored 50 ...the only one...number 8....
Based on the scoring average of 2 games? No.

Might as well give the award to Luke Walton, because he is the key factor of the triangle offense. Look at how much Kobe and the rest of the Lakers suck with out him.
So he scores 65 at home against that defensive powerhouse...... Portland? (The Blazers allowing opponents to shoot 47% - 4th worst in the NBA) And then he follows it up with a 50 point game against the defensive stalwart.... Minnesota? (The Wolves are in the middle of the pack defensively). Get back to me when he gets 50 against any of the top 4 defensive clubs (Spurs, Mavs, Rockets, Pistons) and MAYBE we'll talk.

As far as MVP, no way. He hasn't been able to carry his team to a dominant position. Yeah, the Lakers are 2nd in the Pacific, but they are 15 games behind the Suns. In the west, they are in 6th place and will not go any higher - they are 7 games behind the 5th place Rockets with only 15 games left to play in the season.

Right now, the likely MVP is Dirk with Nash a close second. The only other real contender is LeBron, but his Cavs aren't leading and the East is perceived to be weaker this year. Considering anyone else for MVP is rather delusional.
Nah they would have to win the rest of their games with no loses with him averaging a lot of points while he'll average a lot of points I'm not sure if they could go undefeated because someone is always injured but I hope so because Bryant deserved MVP last year.
No! Kobe even if he averaged 50 points a game for the rest of the season he still would not win. There are other teams with better records, better personalities, and who are dirty who will win the award. Shaq has a better chance of winning the award then Kobe does!
He deserves it .Thumbs down to all kobe haters.Go kobe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not solely based on those two games, but as a previous poster mentioned, if he keeps up a good effort and propels the Lakers with a decent winning streak, he may have a chance.

People seem to forget that the Lakers have been plagued by injuries this year. Losing 3/5 of your starting 5 is not an easy obstacle to surmount, and neither Dirk or Nash has had to do that this year. Dirk has had Howard and Terry. Nash has at least had Marion and a 50% Amare. During the Lakers' slump, they were missing quite a few key pieces, and they still are missing key bench players like Cook and Radmonovic, not to mention Mihm.
Is it possible? Yes. Probable? No. I think that the MVP should go to a team player who's team does well. Not just a one man show who hogs the ball. I think if Dirk took as many shots and held the ball as much a Kobe does he'd easily outscore him, but Dirk plays for the team. Not the stats. As you can tell, I don't think much of Kobe...lol...
No , if the MVP award was based on points he would have won it last year . I think its dirk's this year
No. Too little to late. Maybe next year.
it'll take some politicking...
well hes not the #1 choice for MVP just cuz of those 2 games. last yr he had a 80 sumthing point game. points dont mean that much if u dont win. but if he keeps scoring 40+ points a nite thru out the rest of the regular season and into the playoffs hed b a strong candidate 4 MVP.
not a chance, have to have a good team, barely making it in to playoffs is not cuttin it, if lakers were 1-2, then maybe, but 7 with .5 lead, not chance, im thinkin dirk ahs a good chance at gettin it
